Calculate the total household arrangement before deciding whether to replace cable.

Try it, or keep watching.
A useful cord-cutting budget starts with your current bill and the services you will still need after switching. Calculate the new arrangement before cancelling anything. The result may be a saving, a different cost or a reason to keep the existing package.
This 2027 worksheet focuses on the household budget. For the sequence of testing and changing services, use How It Works alongside the cancellation instructions supplied by your current provider.
Write down the current baseline
Use the latest bill and identify television, internet, receiver or rental costs and discounts. Ask what happens to the remaining services if television is removed. Record the answer for your account, including the end of a promotion or a contract condition.
List subscriptions billed elsewhere too. A charge through an app store, another household member or a separate sports provider still belongs in the total. Use actual payment records rather than memory.
Build the replacement column
| Budget row | Amount to confirm |
|---|---|
| Internet after the change | The provider's account-specific quote. |
| Viewing subscriptions | Every service you plan to retain or add. |
| Player or hardware | Separate app purchases, devices or rentals. |
| Concurrent screens | The household's actual simultaneous use. |
| Transition | Any overlap, cancellation or return costs in your terms. |
Keep one-time expenses separate from recurring ones. Compare equal periods so a yearly payment is not treated as though it were a monthly charge. Leave an unconfirmed row unresolved instead of inserting an advertised minimum.
Put the guide to use.
Calculate the real household cost before choosing a duration
Test before buying equipment
Ask Help whether your existing television or box has a supported player. For 8KTV, the 24-hour trial requires no card and is prepared by a person within four hours. Use it to assess the main screen before buying hardware for every room.
One connection permits one concurrent screen. Count moments when people watch different things simultaneously, not the number of devices you own. Review the resulting duration and connection total on the pricing page.
Make the decision from the completed sheet
Check whether the new arrangement meets essential viewing, language and accessibility needs. A lower total is not useful if you must immediately buy another subscription for something indispensable. Keep any programme-rights questions separate and resolve them before paying.
Existing customers can renew the same account credentials. Nothing renews automatically. Revisit the budget when your viewing needs change and retain the provider's cancellation and equipment-return confirmations if you decide to switch.
